5. Paul George and Kawhi Leonard

Many thought when these two dynamic wings got together they would be 1 or two in the ranking of best duos but health and bad play in the playoffs has held them back. Kawhi Leonard has really only been healthy for one year. So why are Paul George and Kawhi in the top five? Because of potential. A healthy Kawhi is a fringe top five player in the league who is capable of leading a team too a championships. A healthy and focused Paul George is one of the best wings in the league. And together they are two of the best defensive wings in the Association. When these two are right it's hard to put five duos together that are better.

4. Joel Embiid and James Harden

Joel Embiid has earned his spot as a top 2 or three big man in the league by dominant play. Just last season he averaged 32 and 12. DOMINANT Big JOJO can score on the block, score facing up and he can get busy on the perimeter. This year he's still making grown men look like children averaging 33 and 11. He is firmly in MVP discussions for yet another season. James Harden is back to playing at an elite level after some thought he was washed. He's averaging 22 and 11. He's coming back from a foot injury that kept him sidelined for a month so I expect his numbers to be even better as the season goes on. This Philly team is dangerous and could make some noise come playoff time.

3. Kevin Duran and Kyrie Irving

Two of the most skilled players too pick up a basketball. The Nets dynamic duo is finally together on the court for an extensive period of time. Kevin Durant is quietly putting together another MVP quality season. He is averaging 30 points and 7 rebounds while shooting almost 60 percent from the field. He's making the game look easy again at 34 after coming off an achilles tear. He's an alien. Kyrie Irving is also having an amazing season averaging 26 points and 5 assists on 50 percent from the field. The only team with a consistent answer for this duo is Boston other than that these two are near unstoppable and capable of winning 4 games in the playoffs by themselves.

2. Anthony Davis and LeBron James

Two years ago this was the best duo in the league but age and health has stopped them from being dominant long term. They are the only one of these duos to win a championship. At 37 turning 38 LeBron is still playing at a superstar level. He is averaging 27 points 9 rebounds and 7 assists on 47 percent from the field. That is by far and away the best year 20 season in NBA history. Anthony Davis who recently hurt his foot was back to championship AD. He's averaging 27 points and 12 rebounds and 2 blocks. When healthy AD is a top 3 big man in the league and arguably the best defensive player in the league he just needs too stay healthy.

1. Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum

The youngest duo on the list is currently the best on the list. Jaylen Brown continues to improve year by year. He is having the best season of his career averaging 26 points and 7 rebounds he's looking to maybe make the All NBA third team or maybe second team and another All Star game. Jayson Tatum is playing like an MVP this season averaging 30 points and 8 rebounds and the Celtics have the best record in the league. There were some who thought that these young stars couldn't play together but they have been to 3 Eastern Conference finals and an NBA Finals. These two turned out to be what the Clippers want Kawhi and Paul George to be and they are only getting better.
