Some sports fans have argued the NFL playoffs are the best tournament in sports. One game elimination. Win and move on. Every game matters every possession matters. Games played at the highest stakes played by some of the most competitive athletes in the world. This year won't be any different and we can expect some great Quarterback play. In the AFC we have a bunch of young phenoms that we get the privilege of watching for the next ten years at least. In the NFC we have a bunch of guys with unique back stories with so much to prove and the GOAT someone who has proven everything and wants more. Lets rank these 14 stellar QB's

14. Brock Purdy (23) San Francisco 49ers

Mr. Irrelevent has turned himself into a household name around the league. Since becoming the 49ers starting QB he has won every game he has played. He's also won over the locker room the 49ers players trust him and believe in him. Brock has been doing a good job of getting his play makers involved and following the game plan. Christian Mcafrey has been playing sensational, George Kittle is playing at a high level, Deebo Samuel's is one of the best pure football players in the league and Brandon Aiyuk has turned himself into an exceptional wide receiver. Yes Purdy has the weapons but he is playing phenomenal and he's only a rookie. In 6 games of play he's had 1,374 yards 13 touchdowns and 4 interceptions with an 107.3 passer rating. He's got the job done in blow outs just ask Tom Brady and the Bucs. Purdy lit them up for 185 passing yards 2 passing TD's and a rushing TD. And he gets the job done in close games go ask the Raiders. Purdy threw for 2 passing touchdowns and helped the Niners win on the road. Brock Purdy is a play maker and the furthest thing from irrelevant.

13. Daniel Jones (25) Giants

Arm Talent: 88

As a Giants fan I am a Daniel Jones believer. He's a Quarterback with great size, can move and can make almost every pass you need him to with time. Danny Dimes as they call him is the future of the New York Giants. He's done enough to secure a starting spot for years to come. Danny hasn't had the weapons to really show how good he can be. I believe he has top 10 ability in the right offense. If Danny had the weapons that Tua, Purdy or Geno has who's to say he isn't a pro bowler. Despite how talented Daniel Jones is when I watch him play I'm still waiting for that big mistake that he could make. Whether it is a fumble or an interception, even though he has cut his turnovers down significantly. If Daniel Jones plays a clean game throughout the playoffs I don't see why the Giants can't compete. Let's see how Danny Dimes looks in his first playoff game.

12. Tua Tagovailoa (24) Dolphins

Arm Talent: 84

Creativity:77

Decision Making: 86

Pocket Presence:77

Accuracy: 93

Weapons: 97

Tua has answered a lot of questions about him this season. There were questions about his arm strength and he has answered that. Tua has proven his arm is strong enough to hit Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle in stride. Tua has always been accurate as he is one of the most accurate QBs in the league. In 13 games played Tua has passed for 3,548 yards, 25 Touchdown passes, 68.5 QBR(third in the league) and a 105.5 passer rating which is first in the league. Tua has suffered some brutal concussions this season. Three concussions in one year could mean bad things for Tua's long term health. There's no doubt about how talented Tua is he just isn't better than any of the QB's who will be ranked above him. He doesn't have elite arm talent or the ability to make plays with his legs like the QB's ahead of him but he has proven to be more than solid.

11. Geno Smith 32 (Seahawks)

Accuracy:87

Creativity:86

Decision Making: 90

Pocket Pressence: 87

Pre Snap:80

Arm Talent:85

Weapons:91

Mr. I didn't right back is having himself a hell of a year and nobody expected it. Before the season I expected the Seahawks to win about 5 games max and now they're in the playoffs. And that is largely due to the play of Geno Smith. Geno Smith has passed for 30 Touchdowns 11 interceptions, a QBR of 61.1 and 4,282 yards which is top 10 in the league. For the first time in his career Geno made the pro bowl and absolutely deserved it. Geno is a well rounded Quarterback who can make elite throws and also moves well enough to keep the defense on its toes. Geno doesn't have any playoff experience but I think he has the confidence and play making ability to make some noise in the post season.

10. Kirk Cousins (34) Vikings

Accuracy:90

Creativity: 72

Decision Making:87

Pocket Pressence:87

Pre Snap:85

Arm Talent:87

Weapons:95

If I could rank day time Kirk he might be top 5 on this list but unfortunately every game that Kirk will be playing from here on out will be prime time match up's games in which Kirk Cousins has earned a reputation of falling short. Despite his prime time record Kirk has proven to be a notch below elite but still beyond serviceable. When comparing Quarterbacks I often compare them to Kirk Cousins and see where they fair. Kirk is hard to replace but deep down you would rather pay someone else. Five chain Kirk has had some excellent years on the low including this year 4,500 yards and 29 touchdowns is nothing to dismiss. We also heard some silent MVP talks for Kirk in the middle of the season. He helped lead the Vikings to a divisional crown this year. On December 17th Kirk led the biggest comeback in NFL history he threw for 460 yards and 2 touchdowns and a week before the regular season finale the Vikings head to Green Bay and got demolished. That's the Kirk Cousins experience. I could see the Vikings winning the Super Bowl with Kirk winning Super Bowl MVP. I could also see Kirk and the Vikings going home early. You never know with that guy.

9. Trevor Lawrence (23) Jaguars

Accuracy:93

Arm Talent:96

Creativity:88

Decision Making:86

Pre Snap:88

Pocket Presence:93

Weapons:86

A lot of people gave up on Trevor Lawrence because he struggled his rookie year more so because he was in a toxic situation with one of the worst coaches in NFL History. Trevor had his ups and downs this year as well until the middle of the season. Since week 9 Trevor has thrown 15 touchdowns. He has been amazing since the bye week. The Jaguars started the season 3-7 and ended up winning the division. Trevor has put together some incredible drives to finish games. He carved up the Ravens defense with incredible throw after throw. Then was down 17 against the Cowboys and led a comeback against them. Don't be surprised if Trevor makes some noise this post season.

8. Dak Prescott (30) Cowboys

Accuracy:90

Arm Talent:90

Creativity :83

Decision Making:75

Pre Snap:86

Pocket Presence:92

Weapons:94

Remember when I said I ask myself if certain Quarterbacks are better than Kirk Cousins and judge them by the results of that question. Well Dakota Reign Prescott is better than Kirk Cousins. They're both on the same level but a game for my life gives me DAK. Dak has proven to be a great leader and a Quarterback who can win you a big game. Since Dak has entered the league he has won rookie of the year and 2 divisional titles. Nothing to sneeze at but like Kirk he is prone to make the big mistake. Dak leads the league in interceptions and he has missed 5 games this season. That's tough to do. This is an important playoff run for Dak he got paid and has the weapons to make a deep run. Lets see what he can do.

7. Jalen Hurts (24) Eagles

Accuracy: 88

Arm Talent:86

Creativity:96

Decision Making:94

Pre Snap:87

Pocket Presence: 97

Weapons:96

If for not getting injured this season Jalen Hurts might of been the MVP this year because he was amazing and led the Eagles to the best record in the league. Jalen threw for 3,700 yards and 22 touchdowns to go along with 760 rushing yards and 10 TD's. The Eagles are fully behind Jalen Hurts as they have shown you this year by going out and getting number 1 receiver AJ Brown. Jalen and AJ have a connection that is special and gives Eagles fans a flashback to TO and Mcnabb except these guys actually like each other. Last year Jalen struggled in the post season and that was to be expected he was playing on the road against a great defense and he wasn't the Quarterback he is today. Jalen has always shown strides to get better as his completion percentage has jumped every year he has been in the league. I'm confident that he will have a better playoff showing this year.

6. Justin Herbert (24) Chargers

Accuracy: 93

Arm Talent:99

Creativity: 96

Decision Making:87

Pre Snap: 95

Pocket Presence: 95

Weapons: 95

The talent for Herbert is off the chart every game he makes throws that only he can make. Standing at 6'6 230 pounds with mobility, intelligence and elite arm talent he is a scout's dream. Some have called him a "social media QB" and that is disrespectful to his talent. At the young age of 24 he has the most passing yards and most completions through the first two seasons in NFL history. He's already thrown for 5,000 yards in a season and he did that at 23. Herbert is outstanding. The next step for him is playoff success since being in the league he hasn't made the playoffs and this is something I felt he needed to do this year. A guy as talented as Herbert should be an elite playoff QB. He has the potential to be an MVP Hall of Fame QB but legends win playoff games. I believe this is the year Herbert gets his first playoff win once he gets that monkey off his back look out because the sky is the limit for this kid.

5. Tom Brady (45) Buccaneers

Accuracy:98

Arm Talent:83

Creativity:70

Decision Making:97

Pre Snap:99

Pocket Presence:86

Weapons:93

It feels weird to have Tom Brady ranked this low but for him to be 45 years old and still in the top five is crazy. Tom Brady is the definition of excellence and clutch. Tom still shows flashes of that prime time cold blooded killer but that's the only problem he shows flashes of brilliance. We've seen Tom Brady look old this year, yelling at teammates throwing tablets and not willing to stand strong in the pocket. With no run game to back up on Tom is forced to throw and he's not throwing far he's doing a lot of screens and short passes. That's not going to get it done in the playoffs. Tom this year threw for 4,694 and 25 touchdown passes. It's Tom Brady is he capable of getting his guys together and make a Super Bowl run? Absolutely he's the goat and I'm not betting against him.

4. Joe Burrow (26) Bengals

Accuracy: 96

Arm Talent: 90

Creativity: 87

Decision Making:93

Pre Snap:94

Pocket Presence: 95

Weapons: 96

Joe "Cool Hand" Burrow is always ready for the moment. Calm as can be and tough as nails. He's the QB you want in the playoffs when you're down three on the road late in the fourth quarter and it's 4th and 7. Since Joe has become a Bengal he has changed their culture and how we think of them as a team. Nobody ever believed in the Bengals especially come playoff time before Joe got there. Now the Bengals are everyone's sexy Super Bowl pick. The Bengals have surrounded Joe with the best weapons in the league. As good as the Bengals receivers are Joe like every great quarterback elevates their game. This year he threw for 4,475 yards and 35 touchdowns and this is after the Bengals started off 0-2. Burrow always seems to find his game at the right time. Joe Burrow is one of the toughest Quarterbacks in the league. Last season he got sacked a record amount of times and led his team to the Super Bowl winning two road games. Joe and the Bengals have seemed to be the Chiefs weakness because in three meetings he's never lost to them. Joe has this team not only in prime position to go back to the Super Bowl but to win it this time.

3. Lamar Jackson (26) Ravens

Accuracy: 88

PAY THE MAN! Lamar Jackson deserves his MONEY. LJACK is one of the best Quarterback's in the league. He's the greatest rushing QB in NFL history and his arm talent has always been underrated. Lamar actually led the league in passing touchdowns only a handful of QBs playing in the league today can say that. Lamar has had to carry teams for 2 seasons now. The Ravens ask Lamar to be their best rusher while asking him to be an elite QB without a lot of help at the receiver spot. Before getting hurt Lamar was on pace to have another 1 thousand yard rushing season and thrown for 17 touchdowns. Jackson's durability has been in question these past two years but when healthy he is the most dynamic and exciting QB in the league. A lot of his critics have used his playoff record to discredit him but Lamar has a playoff win under his belt and is not the same Quarterback that lost to the Chargers his rookie season if Lamar can get healthy the Ravens are a Super Bowl Contender.

2. Josh Allen (26) Bills

Accuracy: 90

Arm Talent: 99

Decision Making: 87

Pre Snap: 90

Pocket Presence: 96

Weapons: 93

Creativity: 99

Josh Allen is an alien 6'5 250 pounds with a cannon for an arm with mobility. In his career Josh Allen has been a great playoff performer. Last year Josh had the highest passer rating in a single post season with 149.0. He went on a historic run those two playoff games he played were some of the best performances in NFL history. Josh destroyed Bill Belichek's Patriots defense last year he threw for 308 yards and 5 TD's to go along with 66 rushing yards. I have never seen a Bill Belichek coach team look so helpless. It was just a grown man playing against kids. Josh then dominated in what some call the greatest football game ever played. He threw for 329 yards 4 touchdowns and 0 picks. The Bills were 13 seconds away from a possible Super Bowl win until Patrick Mahomes happened. Josh Allen and the Bills are ready to win now. They'll need to possibly go through the Chiefs to do so and I think they can win. But Josh will have to do a better job of taking care of the ball Josh Allen led the league in turnovers this year that can't continue in the playoffs if the Bills want to win a championship.

1. Patrick Mahomes (27) Chiefs

Accuracy: 97

Arm Talent:99

Creativity:99

Decision Making:90

Pre Snap: 97

Pocket Presence:93

The best Quarterback that I have ever seen. Mahomes just does things as a fan just melts your mind. His ability to extend plays and take the top off the defense with his arm is crazy. We've never seen a Quarterback like Mahomes. He's the ultimate winner and competitor when it's playoff time you know Patrick Mahomes is going to go all out and do whatever it takes to win. All off season we were told Patrick Mahomes would not be able to survive without Tyreek Hill he turned around and is on his way to winning another MVP. This season he threw for 5,250 yards,41 touchdowns and a passer rating of 105.2. Mahomes has been to the AFC championship 4 straight years he's the standard for every young quarterback. He's 27 and a maid man already now it's all about how great Mahomes can be. Can he catch Brady in rings? Another championship gets him closer to goat status. Lets see if he can take that step.
