Raiders win Broncos are in trouble
Both the Raiders and the Broncos have been a disapointing. These were supposed to be the teams who helped the AFC. West become the hardest division in football maybe the hardest division ever. When the Broncos acuired Russel Wilson they thought they were getting a QB who can take them to the Super Bowl. He hasn't beem that so far but looked better this game. 17/25 238 yards and 2 touchdowns. Under Coach Hacket the defense which was once thought of as one of the best in the league has regressed. The Raiders got a well needed win as they finally looked like a complete team. Derek Carr again was not very good but the run game was working. Josh Jacobs ran for 144 yards and 2 touchdowns. Both teams have work to do.
Patrick Mahomes is the Best QB in Football
This shouldn't be up for a debate but Patrick Mahomes is the best QB in football. Although I feel as though Lamar Jackson is the MVP so far Patrick Mahomes is second. Every week he reminds us of his greatness. Coming off a bad loss in Indy he took his anger out on the Bucs inTampa. Putting on a show he threw for three touchdowns. The first one came when he rolled to his right spinned off a defender and flipped it to his running back. He's a magician Magic Mahomes is what they call him.
The Packers will be fine
The Packers will be just fine I think they will still win the NFC North. Their defense has been stellar so far limiting Tom Brady and that high power offense to 12 points. The offense on the other hand is a work in progress. The running game continues to be strong with Aaron Jones. He's a top 10 back in my opinion and that offensive line is playing well. With the return of David Bakhtiari the offensive line will be even better later in the season. And so will the receiving core Aaron Rodgers will find away to make it work. Christian and Watson and Romeo Doubs are good young receivers with experience they could possibly be pro bowlers. Veterans Randal Cobb and Sammy Watkins will be vital come playoff time with there veteran experience. The Packers are 3-1 and haven't played there best football yet.
Ravens Fold Again
Once again the Ravens lost a big lead to a great team. The Buffalo Bills have been looked at as the best team in the league. They have the best defense with the addition of Von Miller and the best offense with Josh Allen who some say will be the NFL MVP this year and Stephon Diggs. The Ravens had a chance to send a message to the league that they are a great team and beat anyone. They took a commanding 20-3 lead in the 2nd quarter but you never thought it was out of reach for the Bills. Before Halftime the Bills marched down the field and Josh Allen threw a touchdown pass to Isaiah Mckenzie to cut the lead down to ten. The Bills dominated the second half. On defense they didn't allow Baltimore to score. Lamar Jackson threw two interceptions in the second half. The second takeaway came on a controversial decision by Coach John Harbough. On 4th and 2 and 4 minutes left Coach decided to go for it. Lamar Jackson threw an interception in the end zone which resulted in the Bills getting the ball at the 20 they went down the field and kicked a field goal to win the game as time expired. Now I don't have a problem with the Ravens going for it. John knew that they probably could not stop Josh Allen and that offense. And he was right with 4 minutes left they allowed the offense to go down the field and waist clock. The Ravens problem is that there defense doesn't get enough pressure on the QB. When you give a great quaterback time he will torch your defense no matter who is at corner. And that's the problem the Quaterbacks have too much time too pass Joe Flacco, Josh Allen and Mac Jones both had good days against the Ravens. We are not used to seeing the Ravens defense this bad. On offense they can score points but the play calling gets conservative and stale in the second half of games. This team can be a contender if they can put it all together. As for the Bills they proved they could win close games as they were 0-7 when games were decided by a touchdown. They fought and executed down the stretch of that game. Something that championship teams do.
The Champs are Struggling Niners are Contenders
It was another battle between the Rams and the Niners on Monday Night lead by the coaches who Sean Mcvay and Kyle Shanahan. The 49ers were looking for revenge as they were defeated by the Rams in the NFC championship game. At home the Niners were determinded to win this game. The Niners played balance football too perfection. Jeffrey Wilson ran for 74 yards and a touchdown and Deeboo Samuels stole the show with 6 receptions and 115 yards including a show stopping 57 yard touchdown reception. Jimmy G played well and took care of the ball 16/27 239 yards and touchdown are not jaw dropping numbers but that's all they really need to to get it done and possibly get to another Super Bowl. The Rams look like there in trouble. Matthew Stanford doesn't look like the same Quaterback that led this team to a Super Bowl. He's leading the league in interceptions and part of it is bad play but the other is the Rams O-line has been horrible. They can't run the ball because defenses are just bullying there o line. Not too mention other than Cooper Kupp they don't have a reliable receiver. Allen Robinson looks washed right now. He doesn't even have 100 yard receiving yards through 4 weeks. That's nasty If this doesn't change the Rams can kiss a repeat goodbye.
Eagles Look Good But I need too See More
I'll admit I am a Giants fan from North Jersey so I really don't like the Eagles but I must give credit when credit is due. The Eagles look really good. This maybe the best defense in the league. Right now Darius "Big Play" Slay is the best corner in football. Not too mention Fletcher Cox is leading what might be the best front line in football. On offense Jalen Hurts is an absolute unit he has improved as a passer and is still getting it done in the run game. His QB rating is 99 among the best in the league and has 8 total TD's. With the addition of AJ Brown and the improvement of Devontae Smith the Eagles have weapons too support Hurts. They have a easy schedule and can end up with the number 1 seed. With the NFC playoffs going through Philly who knows what can happen .
