On Tuesday December 27th 2022 Luka Doncic put one of the best performances of all time. He scored 60 points, grabbed 20 rebounds and dished out 10 assists. This was the first time anyone has put up a stat line like this. The Mavs needed every bucket as they were trailing the Knicks most of the game. In the fourth quarter Luka put on his cape and became a slower less athletic but equally as heroric version of Super Man. He went 8 for 11 and scored 18 points in the fourth including a game tying basket with one second left where Luka got his own rebound off an intentionally missed free throw and drilled a 11 foot jumper sending the game to overtime. Luka continued too be sensational in the overt time period as he scored 7 points. All season Luka has been putting on a show and carrying the team on his back. How does the slowest man on court score so easy? He's supremely skilled and can score from anywhere on the court? How does the least athletic player on the court grab 20 rebounds? He uses his body and positions himself to get below the rim rebounds because he is one of the strongest players in the league and when determined can grab rebounds on a consistent basis. Getting 10 assists for Luka is becoming normal as he has 97 games with 10 plus assists and he is only 24 that is crazy. A lot of analysts compare Luka to Larry Bird but he's his own player and someone we may never see again.
