Don't Overthink it Patrick Mahomes is the MVP

The best Quaterback in the world is playing like the best Quaterback in the world. Lets not make this difficult Patrick Mahomes is the MVP. There are other Quaterbacks who are playing at a high level. Joe Burrow, Josh Allen and currently the MVP favorite Jalen Hurts. I feel as though Hurts is having himself an outstanding year he has thrown for 3,157 yards 22 Touchdowns and adds another 700 plus yards on the ground and 10 rushing TDs. Hurts is having an incredible season but one could argue his outstanding season has a lot too do with the help around him. Hurts has the luxury of throwing to two stud receivers, he is behind possibly the best o-line in the league and has arguably the best defense in the league he could rely on. Patrick Mahomes has none of those things.

When Tyreek Hill departed from the Chiefs for the Miami Dolphins many experts thought Mahomes would not be the same Quaterback we had known to love, they were right because he is better. I believe that Mahomes was getting too comfortable relying on Tyreek. He stopped dissecting defenses and started to rely too much on the big play. This year the best way to describe Mahomes is efficient. The Magic Man has thrown for 4,160 yards and 33 Touchdown passes so far this season. Mahomes still relies on his best friend Travis Kelce but also has made sure all the receivers eat. The Chiefs have done their best to replace Tyreek Hill with a number of guys Juju, Marquez Valedz-Scantling and newly acquired receiver Kadarius Toney. Mahomes has dominated this year with a little less explosive play's but he still shows off his magical ability. Just this past Sunday he pulled off one pf the best plays of the year he rolls out the pocket right, stiff arms a defender and literally tosses an underhand no looks a pass too his running back for a touchdown. He's the only Quaterback in the league who would try that and he's the only Quaterback in the league who could have pulled it off.

Mahomes is not throwing too a potential All-Pro receiver like Hurts is. His O-line is pretty good but nowhere near the Eagles O-line and he literally is playing with the worst passing defense in the NFL. We should not take Mahomes for granted because we are so used too his greatness and magician-like plays. Not too mention the Eagles have played one of the easiest schedules in the League. The Chiefs have played one of the toughest schedules in the league. Despite playing some of the best teams in the NFL the Chiefs have a top two seed in the AFC and have dominated their division again. Down 15 down 20 it doesn't matter as long as you have 15 from the Chiefs you have a great chance of coming back and winning the game against any team. Don't over think it Patrick Mahomes is the MVP.
