The Bucks DOMINATED the Bucks last night destroying them on their Home Floor. This is the Celtics we saw earlier in the season. The Celtics that seemed like they would run away with the number one seed in the East because they were playing elite defense, playing at a fast pace while not turning the ball over and they were healthy. All those elements were on display last night, the Celtics came out focused and determined to send a message that they are the best team in the East if not the league. When Robert Williams and Al Horford play together, they control the paint and make Giannis earn every bucket. Marcus smart and Malcom Brogdan are arguably the best defensive backcourt in the league and can limit Jru Holiday and Khris Middleton as well as any backcourt in the Association. Joe Mazzula has had his ups and downs, but he is still a talented coach capable of pushing the right buttons to help the Celtics reach the finals again.
The only problem with Jayson Tatum is consistency he can score in bunches and lock up on the other end. His playoff resume is as good as any young stars in the league. Some nights he looks like he can be the MVP of the league and on other nights he looks like a guy I wonder if he could be the alpha on an NBA Champion. Only time will tell if Jayson Tatum has what it takes to do so. I think he does the talent doesn't lie Game 6 down 3-2 in the series Tatum saved Boston's season by scoring 46 points on the road and then went on to win ECF MVP. Tatum is special and the whole league knows.
The Celtics better make things right with Jaylen Brown. Yes, Tatum is the best player on the team but that doesn't mean that doesn't mean that the Celtics need to treat him like a second-class citizen when he is not one. JB is a star in the league and any team becomes instantly better with him on the team. An explosive three level scorer who competes on the other end is valuable. It would be nice to have gotten KD but don't get greedy the Celtics have arguably the best duo in the league because just like Tatum Brown is a certified bucket as well.
