Big Night in the NBA Monday Night

Writer: Christian RobertsChristian Roberts

Monday night around the Association we some of the best performances of the season. We saw Joel Embiid in Philly destroy the Pelicans putting on a clinic to the tune of 42 points 11 rebounds and 5 assist. Klay Thompson turned back into prime Klay and got unconsciously hot tourching the Hawks with 54 points. Monday night we also witnessed another round of Bron vs Father time and Bron won another round he scored 43 points 11 rebounds and 6 assist and it seemed easy. Now it was against the Hornets but he did it on 62 percent from the field very impressive. But the most impressive stat line of the night and one of the most impressive stat lines in NBA history was the performance given by Donavan Mitchell. Donavan scored 71 points, grabbed 8 and dished out 11 dimes. Scoring 71 is impressive for sure but to do it while stuffing the stat sheet is even more impressive. We haven't seen a performance like this since the late great Kobe Bryant and we probably won't see one again for a long time. All of these performances were great and had their own story lines to them. Joel Embiid wants to continue to prove that he deserves more MVP consideration. Klay Thompson is determined to show the basketball world he is not washed. LeBron is in a constant battle with father time while trying to carry the Lakers to play in contention. And finally Donavan Mitchell wants to show the Cleveland fans that he is capable of leading them deep into the playoffs.
