For the second year in a row the Cincinati Bengals will travel to Arrow Head and take on the Kansas City Chiefs. If you were to ask me before the season who would make the AFC Championship I would have said the Kansas City Chiefs and the Buffalo Bills would be the team. This was supposed to be the Bills year. The year they finally got passed the Chiefs and win the Super Bowl. The Cincinati Bengals had other plans though they got hot at the right time, went into Buffalo and DOMINATED Buffalo. I mean they obliterated the Bills in every aspect of the football game. The Bengals have always been underrated and overlooked. Come playoff time we know Joe Burrow is going to come up big and have his guys prepared to win at home or on the road. In his young career he has a very impressive playoff resume. The Bengals have the best offense in the league as well as a really good defense. The Chiefs on the other hand find themselves in the AFC Championship game for the fifth straight season. Patrick Mahomes has reestablished himself as the best Quaterback in the league with yet another first team All Pro season. He looks to go to another Super Bowl and win his second. Can he do it against a team who has had his number? Let's break it down.

The Bengals have the best weapons in the league. They can get the job done on offense in multiple ways. They do a great job of running the football with their stud running backs. Joe Mixon and Samaje Perine have an argument at being the best running back tandem in the league. The Bengals also have the best receiving core in the league. Ja'Mar Chase has become unstoppable he cannot be guarded one on one. Despite missing 3 games he ended up with 1,046 yards and 9 touchdowns. Tee Higgins could be number 1 options on most teams in the league and Hayden Hurts is a very solid tight end. The Chiefs have a legendary tight end in Travis Kelce had another All Pro season with 1,338 yards and 12 touchdowns. No matter if he is double teamed Mahomes is going to get Kelce the ball. Despite losing Tyreek Hill this year the Chiefs offense has not missed a beat. As they are more well balanced this season as they can run the ball and move the chains down the field efficiently and effectively. The Bengals have a better all around offense but with Andy Reid and Mahomes you never know what they will have planned.

The Bengals don't have big names on defense but boy are they effective. Go ask Buffalo how great their defense is. Last week that Bengals defense beat up the Bills. They locked up Josh Allen hitting him and bullying their O-line. On the outside they locked up Stephon Diggs. I know they talk a lot mostly Eli Apple but the Bengals secondary is really good. The Chiefs are weird there defense is never great but can be good or really bad depending on the night. They are very inconsistent as they have trouble guarding receivers. That is part of the reason why the Bengals keep beating them. The Chiefs and defensive coordinator John Spagnola love to blitz which causes problems for the Chiefs because it leaves the Chiefs corners on an island by themselves against these stud wide outs. But at the end of the day they can get to Joe Burrow as the Bengals have a below average O-line. Chris Jones has been the best DT in the league this season with 16 Sacks. If he and the Chiefs D-line can get to Joe Burrow it could be bad news for the Bengals.
Predictions
Patrick Mahomes is the best Quaterback I have ever seen in my life. He's on his way to his fifth AFC championship and going to win his second MVP at only 27 he has a chance to go down in NFL History as the best Quaterback to ever live. To reach the heights he wants he's going to have to get over Joe Burrow and the Bengals. Burrow has established himself as a great quaterback in the league and is looking to cement himself as a legend and take Mahomes number one spot. Both teams have been talking trash as this should be a great game. I'm taking the Chiefs 30-27 in a thriller Mahomes eventually figures his opponent out and this is no difference. Even on a sprain ankle Mahomes will find away he lays it on the line for his team and has the attitude of "I refuse to lose". I predict he puts on a legendary performance. The Chiefs win and put an end to that "Burrow Head" talk.
